IF5-D – a new MDB interface that can operate with two MDB protocol readers as a single standalone unit. The MDB protocol typically allows the use of only one bill validator; a second one can cause address conflicts. Only cashless devices have two distinct addresses, enabling the connection of two POS devices on the same MDB bus. With this interface, we have implemented the same operating mode as cashless devices.
This
unit integrates the IF5 interface for Innovative bill validators, such
as BV20, BV30, NV9, NV10, etc. By using this interface, no additional
adapters are required. Featuring dual power inputs for each bill
validator, this system ensures the vending machine operates without
interruption. A failure in one reader will never affect the performance
of the other.
